- Commandos 2 Movie - Khabal.com has posted a new a movie
(15MB) of Commandos 2, Pyro Studios' almost-finished tactical sequel.
- New Age of Mythology Shot - Ensemble Studios has released another new
Age of Mythology screenshot.
- RuneSword II Gold Done - Shrapnel Games announced today that the Crosscut Games-developed
RuneSword II Gold is completed. The ship date has been set for Sept. 28. The price for
RuneSword II Gold is $39.95.
- New EverQuest Servers Coming to Europe - Sony Online Entertainment and
Ubi Soft today announced that EverQuest would be hosted on new servers in the
European market. Beginning this winter, the popular massively multiplayer online game will
be even more accessible, and international players will be able to enjoy a localized
EverQuest experience.
- Official Gothic demo later - My friends at WorldOnline.cz let us know that previously
released Gothic demo was pulled by developer. They have got it thru official way from
JoWood representatives before ECTS - looks like some internal misunderstanding. The
official demo should be available next week.
- Tribes 2 Lead Designer Joins Planetside Team - Verant has hired the
spearhead of the Tribes series to help complete their online first-person shooter,
Planetside. According to message board posts cited on Blue's News, Dave Georgeson accepted Verant's offer after the Tribes 2
development team disbanded in the wake of Dynamix's shutdown.
- HP To Buy Compaq For $25 Billion - Hewlett-Packard will acquire Compaq
Computer in a stock swap worth about $25 billion, the companies announced
late Monday.
- DOOM 3 Videoclip - Dunno if this is actually new or old news, but there
is some footage (~3.6MB) of DOOM 3
floating around, recorded at QuakeCon2001.
- S.W.I.N.E. Preview - Fragland has written a preview of
Fishtank Interactive's upcoming wacky real-time strategy game, S.W.I.N.E.

- Max Payne Demo soon - According to this .plan update

the Max Payne playable demo is getting ready for a release. It's gonna be pretty hefty at
over 100 megs and they are looking for mirrors.
- MegaMan Zero Alpha - Blackened Interactive has released Mega Man X: Zero for Quake III
starring the Zero character from the show/series/comic.
- World Of Warcraft Preview - Warcraftiii.net has written a full preview
of World of Warcraft based on checking out Blizzard's presentation of their massively
multiplayer RPG during ECTS.
