GameSpy has written a new preview of Darkened Skye, Simon & Schuster's Skittles-based action-adventure game. Here's a taste:
"There will be over 30 levels in the game spanning five worlds. Some of the levels are based on the visuals found in Skittles commercials. In addition to the melee and magical combat, players will have to solve numerous puzzles to progress. Each world will have at least one riding level where Skye will have to mount a steed and engage in some platform action. We got to see the Dungeon, Asian, and Gargoyle levels, all of which feature nifty particle and lighting effects. The Gargoyle levels were particularly impressive, and a bit reminiscent of those found in EA's Undying. The levels will be filled with ten types of monsters, with variations reflecting each world. Players must discover what spells work best against which monsters, or if Skye's staff is the best solution."
