PS2 Hard Drive Expands - tech

Sony's 40 gigabyte hard disk is due out in Japan next month, and when coupled with the PS2 broadband adapter, it should usher in a new stage of PS2 gaming. This hard disk attachment is apparently just the start of Sony's plans, though.
Japan's Mainichi Shimbun reports that Sony plans to release a new, higher capacity version of the hard drive every year, while keeping the price fixed. The paper would not delve into details regarding the size of the increments.
