Shocking Mad Padz (PS2) - tech
(hx) 09:16 PM CEST - Jun,05 2001
Mad Catz has already built a prototype and called it Bioforce. Product Manager Steven Sandwisch believes the electric shock delivered by the control is not sufficient to cause a player real pain. But it might produce involuntary muscle spasms strong enough to force them to drop their control.
The prototype features with electrode pads that are attached to a player's forearms. Whenever an opponent lands a punch or a kick in a fighting game for example, the device delivers a 16 milliamp shock from three 1.5 volt batteries. Ph33r! :)

Yikes... I prefer more realistic force feedback kinda technology tho. Think about it, you are playing a fighting game, your opponent hit you in the face, but your hands got electricify instead, that's kinda weird...
