Gore Demo Released! - demo

 4D Rulers has released a multiplayer test demo of Gore, their upcoming 1st-person shooter. The demo includes three levels, three playable characters, and a variety of weapons and items. It has been tested extensively on Nvidia TNT, but also should run fine on Voodoo5, and ATI cards.
In addition Tolstiy's Place has posted up a new interview with Joel Huenink the head man at Gore's developer 4D Rulers.
Tolstiy: Trying to launch a title on the market of multiplayer only market, you must understand that you'll have to compete with such world known and famous titles as Counter Strike, Quake 3: Arena, nicely selling Unreal Tournament. What will make Gore something one of the kind, what will be that feature (or features) which will attract player from other mp games to your creation?
Joel Huenink: Gore has many new features those titles don't offer. We have character classes which all have different strengths and weaknesses. The bartender (big fat guy) moves slower and is harder to kill than the other players. He also can carry heavy weapons easier than the other player classes. He even has a knockout punch. Some characters can even shoot weapons faster than the other characters. The female marine can move very quickly and jump higher and further than the bartender, and has a faster fire rate on her weapon of choice, the pump shotgun which has a defensive energy shield for a secondary fire mode. The male marine player is a good all around well-balanced character with no strong points or weaknesses. We've got more exotic characters in development like the assassin who has traps, gadgets and other special weapons and defenses, and a martial arts character who doesn't even need weapons to succeed.
