Saga Of Rysom Q&A - interview
|
| (hx) 11:51 AM CEST - Jun,07 2004 |
GamersPulse
has posted
an interview with Nevrax developer and CEO David Cohen, as he talks
about the Saga of Ryzom,
their upcoming MMORPG which will be launched later this summer. Here is a bit:
GP: Do players who are able to devote many hours a day to The Saga of Ryzom have a significant advantage over those who can't? How does the passing of time work within the game?
David Cohen: The design of the system does not offer a significant advantage of those who play more than others. The game itself is more targeted at what your personal goals or objectives are. It is true if you want to be an uber player you will need to play more than a casual gamer would. Somethings do require a lot of devotion like becoming a specialized warrior who has special moves but these are not game breaking, you will not be a god within the game, to those unable to commit more hours than what they already can.
The time frame is flexible but the idea is to have a complete day/night cycle every 4 hours.
