Part of the joy of Evil Genius should be setting traps to ensnare various good guys as they come snooping around your island. Not content to simply dispose of would-be do-gooders in a conventional manner, Evil Genius lets you tap your inner Rube Goldberg and construct traps as whimsically overcomplicated as you want. In the base we saw, the hidden entrance had a security camera built into a statue, with tropical trees loaded with coconut bombs and killer bees threatening to dispose of anyone foolish enough to stumble around in that vicinity. Inside the base, we watched as another good guy tripped an alarm, at which point huge fans appeared and blew the agent helplessly from hallway to hallway until he was eventually dropped through a trap door into a fiery pit.
