(hx) 10:16 AM CET - Dec,13 2003
Mercedes Benz World Racing is a car racing game developed by German developers Synetic (BreakNeck, N.I.C.E 2, Mercedes Benz Truck Racing makers). You maybe noticed there are some Xbox reviews of the same game, but it was originally designed for the ...read a full review

68%? You underrated it, I think. With FF wheel, it's a very very cool game.

Comments from hxposted - 01:24 PM CET - Dec,13 2003
I didn't say it's bad game :) But the flaws keep it from attaining a better score..like 78%

Comments from ManjuCposted - 04:51 PM CET - Dec,13 2003
Yeah I totally agree. 68% is not enough. Yes you can drive through trees and people, and not much damage. but the car simulation is something the very best I've seen in a game. I get great framerates on my middle tier machine too. I dont understand how NFS underground gets a high score and this doesnt.

Played the PC demo. Can't wait for the full version! Love just driving around. I play a bunch of race games and think the tracks and physics in this game are well done for a fun experience. Haven't been able to see that far down the road since Viper Racing (still one of my all time favs).

Comments from KHysiekposted - 01:17 AM CET - Dec,14 2003
Yeah, this game is underrated. Very nice graphics, interesting tracks with many details, gives much fun :)

Comments from viceposted - 07:17 PM CET - Dec,14 2003
You're right manjuc. The simulation and the graphics beats everything on PC, even NFS Porsche. Love the horizon too :)

Comments from Henricoposted - 09:36 PM CET - Dec,14 2003
Hitting trees is just annoying, why would you want to do it anyway?? Try playing Motocross Madness 2 to see what I mean. Dont know if it beats NFS porsche but it definitely beats NFS Underground which is commercial pap. Roll on World Racing 2!!

Comments from Fearlezzposted - 12:12 AM CET - Dec,15 2003
i'll take driving trough trees over closed tracks any time!

Comments from AKRYposted - 01:52 AM CET - Dec,15 2003
Even with lack of Online Multiplayer, the overall experience of the game is very nice....Besides, hitting the trees and running over crowds are not the priority of the game any way. Though it sure takes somre realism away..... Still, with minor flaws, I think the game still deserves 80%. Especially after looking at many of the late, PC racing games. MBWR is much well made than mere-console ports such as Ford Racing 2.

Vary fun Game, physics blow away anything nfs ever came out with,I only have the demo. Anyone know were i can get a PC copy sent to the united states?

Comments from Lorenzoposted - 10:50 AM CET - Dec,15 2003
Not perfect but the best feeling i've ever felt with a driving simulator. If you dont stay stucked on a first impression, you will realise you can actually feel the physics of the cars, the maps are incredible, you can track racing, offroading and road/street driving. When the multiplayer feature will be released (if good), i can say it will be the best driving sim i know. Buy it !!

68% hm you are blind? this is the best race game i ll ever played tststs

Comments from Cannabistposted - 03:55 PM CET - Dec,15 2003
I cant believe some of you call this a "simulator". It's very arcadey game. For REAL sim racing try Live for Speed, www.liveforspeed.net , which is in no way related to NFS. LFS is the best cargame ever till now on the pc.

Comments from Klawposted - 05:00 PM CET - Dec,17 2003
Definitely, the worst junk I ever tried to play concerning to race simulation. 68% is about fair enough!!

Comments from Boxposted - 03:42 AM CET - Dec,20 2003
This game got an 68% only, wow after I play the demo I think it deserves between 80%-90% but I have 2 problems.. 1) Steering wheel animation is missing in demo 2) Game is not available in North America (for pc) that's all.

Comments from ManjuCposted - 05:49 AM CET - Dec,21 2003
The steering wheel animation plays on faster graphics cards. I have a Gforce4 Ti4200, and the animation is there. Tried it on a Gforce2 Mx and a Gforce Go card and the animation is not there.

Personally, I havent test this game, but I think it would be a great game. However, I really like NFS Underground. If you like Fast & Furious movie, then you'll like NFS Underground. And for Live For Speed, never heard of. Guess I'll take a close look at it. Regards

IS THIS A RACING GAME? I THOUGHT IT WAS A DRIVING SIMULATION USED TO TRAIN NEW DRIVERS?.

Comments from posted - 06:41 PM CET - Jan,13 2004
Using non-racing cars in a racing game. well how about we include a scooter and a three wheeled car in the game too. THIS GAME SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A RACING GAME. ITS MORE LIKE A DRIVING SIMULATOR. why the fuck would i race in a SUV. SUV ARE THE MOST PATHETIC VECHICLE ON THE MARKET AND A INSULT TO MOTOR VECHICLAR DRIVERS. THEY ARE THE MOST NON-EFFICENT VECHICLES IN TERMS OF GAS, PLUS THE MANUFACTORS GET TAX BRAKES FOR MAKING THE CRAPPY VERSION CARS? WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THAT? I PRODUCE SOMETHING WORSE THAN THE AVERAGE CAR SO I GET A TAX BREAK? IDIOT GOVERNMENT OFFICALS. SUV'S ARE NOT EVEN AS SAFE TO DRIVE THEY CAN'T MANUVER WELL AND FREQUENTY ROLL OVER. SO FUCK YOU FOR PUTTING SUV'S IN YOUR GAME BITCH. DON'T INSULT US CAR LOVERS WITH YOUR CRAPPY POO SMELLING PRODUCT.

This is the most realistic simulation of fast driving available- the simulation physics and graphics are the best I've seen and I use all the current pc simulations. If only it had more real tracks( although it has the best depiction of Hockenheim I've seen). Greatly underated. 90%

The game rocks. I dont mind going through trees. Hey, atleast you get to drive to them in the first place - they are outside the tracks! You got a huge Map to drive on - the resources needed to make all the things interactive would be too big to handle for most systems. I think they did the right thing.

This game rocks, for me it's like a dream cuz i'm a real auto-freak. I would buy the game only for the sweet sound of the accelerating mercedes engine.

Comments from Eddie Mannposted - 03:17 AM CEST - Jul,16 2004
World Racing has more cars than an american showroom,a stunning game engine, and car physics only the pc delivers.Races are truly epic featuring beutiful scenery and lasting 10 minutes plus.NFS Underground is for people with short memory spans and need quick fixes.World Racing demands devotion, and patients, with is rewarded with over 100 cars,ok so there all mercedes but thats why you want it,However,if you only have 5 minutes to kill this game aimt for you, some of the laps go on forever meaning you could get bored.Later missions are harder than a rabid doorman,im still playing it,and it looks better everyday.buy it or suffer NFS undergroumd instead.

68%? u Jacka$$ i would give this game a "B", the only thing i don't like abt this game is the music, so weird, how abt some nice music from any of nfs series about the physic dyamics, still no games beat F355 challenge or live for speed, but who cares p.s. anyone knows how to get the SLR mclaren not by cheating?
