Universal Combat Shots & demo status - media
|
| (hx) 09:22 PM CEST - Oct,18 2003 |

The
official 3000AD website has been updated
with 24 new
shots from Universal Combat, showing several new character models from the
space sim action game formerly known as Battlecruiser Generations. 3000AD's
Derek Smart also announced that the playable demo will be available a bit later
than previously planned:quot;Unfortunately due to time constraints and a looming
Gold date, plans for the demo have been put on hold. Once the game goes Gold
this Thanksgiving holidays, work will resume on the demo. Expect it around the
end of November. Sorry for the delay but getting the game done and out is the
top priority right now."

Based on their Battlecruiser games I'd guess it's almost a full planet you have to roam about on (albeit considerably smaller then earth I'd guess). And i'd also like to think number of players will range in the hundreds for multiplayer games per map.
Dereks earlier games sucked though btw, first Battlecruiser was OK though. | |

As Salesman says, the scope of the game is very appealing. Of course it could all turn crap in the blink of an eye. | | The old comment system has been replaced. Use the regular FORUMS!
