Gangland Interview - interview
|
| (hx) 10:56 PM CEST - Aug,22 2003 |
GameShark has posted
an interview with Benedict Odemotland and Adam Gregersen of MediaMobsters as
they talk about Gangland, their upcoming organized crime strategy game with RPG
and empire building elements. Here is an excerpt:
GameShark: What in your opinion makes Gangland a unique experience for strategy and action game fans?
Benedict Odemotland: I could highlight the combat with active use of resources, the subversive kind of gameplay using spies and infiltrators, the detailed 3D city environment, the integrated hi-scores with in-game rewards for individual record-holders, the non-linear mission plots formed by the event engine, the arcade style approach with conquests and challenges that introduce new characters and weapons as you progress, the intense battles in the streets and inside buildings using a large number of different units, weapons and vehicles.
But actually it's the whole package! I have never seen or tried any other game like this. I can best describe Gangland as being a new breed that brings together some very interesting features from three different genres - or maybe that is four!?
Containing 15% RPG, 35% SIM, 50% RTS and 100% ACTION Gangland is a sure bet for all strategy and action game fans out there, but of course everyone is invited ;-)
