 Gorky Zero Interview - interview
(hx) 12:08 PM CEST - Apr,10 2003
HomeLAN has posted an interview with Grzegorz Miechowski of Metropolis Software as he talks about Gorky Zero, their upcoming horror tactical action prequel to Gorky 17 (released several years ago as Odium in the US). Gorky Zero should be available later this year. Here is a slice:
HomeLAN - How will combat be handled in the game?

Grzegorz Miechowski - While working on Gorky Zero, we have been thinking about the same kind of a player, who played Gorky 17. It is important for us to remain faithful to the game tactics we already used in Gorky 17. We would not like to produce a "slow" turn-based game, though. The action in Gorky Zero will be shown from two cameras. The first type of shots is like an isometric projection so that the hero can survey his surroundings and plan the sabotage. Specific operations like disarming and "neutralizing" the enemies, are viewed from behind the hero's back. Cole can very easily lean from round the corners and shoot the guards from a distance without even being noticed.
