- Splinter Cell PC Preview - Ferrago.co.uk has posted
a preview of the
PC version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, based on playing a partial build
of the Ubi Soft 3rd-person action game that's already been released for the
Xbox.
- Harbinger Preview - JustRPG has posted
a
preview of Harbinger, Silverback's upcoming sci-fi action role-playing
game which should be out in first quarter of this year.
- Black And White 2 Preview - CVG has posted
a new preview of Black and White 2, based on checking out a build of
Lionheart Studios' upcoming sequel to their god game at their offices.
- Warcraft 3: The Fronzen Throne Interview - GameSpy has posted
an interview with Warcraft III expansion pack Frozen Throne's lead
designer Rob Pardo.
- Painkiller Interview - Worthplaying has posted
an
interview with Adrian Chmielarz of People Can Fly as he talks about their
upcoming first person horror-action game Painkiller.
- Star Wars Galaxies Interview - Stratics has posted
an interview with
Sony Online's Raph Koster, the creative director for the upcoming
massively multiplayer RPG Star Wars Galaxies.
- Chain Reaction Demo - GarageGames and Monster Studios have released
a playable demo for Chain Reaction, a puzzle game where you must use a
variety of contraptions, objects and devices to launch MC Monster onto his
landing pad.
- Strike Fighters: Project 1 retail SP1 patch - Strategy First sends
along
a new patch for Strike Fighters: Project 1, applying a Service Pack 1 to
the modern combat flight sim by Third Wire Productions. This release addresses
multiplayer co-op issues, adds support for NaturalPoint trackIR GX, and adds a
bunch of other changes and bug fixes.
- Celtic Kings Patch v1.15 - The Celtic Kings official website has
offers
a new version 1.15 patch for Haemimont Games' real-time strategy
game. The update requires version 1.10 to be previously installed, and adds
bug fixes, tweaks, and improvements to multiplayer performance and stability
described as "a must for online gaming."
- BF 1942 v1.3 Patch Plans -
Here's a sneak peek: 1) Implemented TK solution: On the server-side you
can implement various TK-solutions such as a Spawn Delay penalty (puts them
into spawn limbo) or the simple Kick/Ban. On the client-side you'll be able to
Forgive or Punish TK depending on how the server is set up; 2) Client
performance optimization; 3) Map-loading optimized; 4) Improved
interface for in-game voting. In addition, the 1.3 patch will allow Road to
Rome users to play on original BF1942 servers. You will still need to own RtR
in order to play on the new maps included in the expansion pack.
- Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball Ships (Xbox) - Tecmo today
announced that Dead or Alive
Xtreme Beach Volleyball for the Xbox has shipped to US store shelves.
- Anno 1503 English Demo on 7th February - Sunflowers announced that
the English demo of 1503 A.D. will be released
on February 7th, with the game slated for March.
- Pirates of the Burning Sea Announced - Flying Lab Software have
announced Pirates
of the Burning Sea, a massively multiplayer RPG that's set on the high
seas of the Caribbean in the 1700's and will allow you to play several roles,
including a pirate, a naval captain, a free trader or a privateer.
- Funcom's "booster pack" is added to Anarchy Online's free trial -
Funcom today announced that its recently released booster pack, The Notum
Wars, will be added today to the free trial of Anarchy Online at
http://www.anarchy-online.com/tryout/. Players who already have Anarchy
Online can purchase an upgrade by downloading The Notum Wars features for
$19.95. Through the free trial offer, gamers can play both Anarchy Online and The Notum Wars with no charge for 7 days.
