- Moonlike asteroid on close approach - An asteroid that behaves
something like a second moon to Earth will make
its
closest approach to our planet next week before shuttling back into deep
space for nearly a century. The space rock is about 200 feet (60 meters)
across and never gets as close as the real moon. Scientists say there is no
chance it will hit Earth anytime in the foreseeable future.
- Chinese spacecraft 'ready to land' - China's fourth unmanned
spacecraft,
Shenzhou IV is due to return to Earth on Sunday. If all goes to
schedule the craft should land in central Mongolia. The craft has been in
orbit since Monday and is reported to be functioning normally. It is thought
that this will be the last test flight before a manned mission planned to for
later in the year.
- Spam costs businesses $13 billion - All those junk e-mail messages
may promise instant wealth, but they can be quite painful to the bottom line.
A study to be released this week attempts to quantify
the annual cost of spam: $8.9 billion for U.S. corporations, $2.5 billion for
European businesses and another $500 million for U.S. and European service
providers.

and an 80-watt max subwoofer (40 watts RMS) boasting a 6.5-inch long-throw
driver housed in a bass-enhancing ported wood cabinet. The total power of the
speaker set is 130 watts(65 watts RMS).
