Graphically, Starfleet Command III is several steps up from the first two games with some very detailed ship models and colorful lighting effects for things like weapons, tractor beams and shields. Like the first two games in this series, the third title takes place strictly on a 2D plane with 3D objects so there won't be any 3D battles a la Wrath of Khan. Oh, and ships tend to blow up real good in this game, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
