  • Physicists create antimatter - At least 50,000 anti-hydrogen atoms have been created since the experiment began in August, said Dr. Jeffrey S. Hangst, from Aarhus University in Denmark, who coordinated efforts by 39 physicists from 10 institutions in a collaboration named Athena. A paper on their results has been accepted for publication in Nature and was posted on its Web site.
  • Yahoo! to Launch Videogame Service - In its latest move to generate revenue outside online advertising, Internet portal Yahoo! is launching a fee-based service Monday that lets users download and play videogames on demand. The service will offer well-known titles that can be rented for a few days or weeks at a time and run as if the CD-ROM were bought at a store and popped into the personal computer, said Daniel Hart, Yahoo's senior director of games and entertainment.  Most of the data required to run each game is streamed to the PC over the Internet before the game is started for the first time. The program then runs off the hard drive, downloading additional files as needed. It expires at the end of the rental period.
  • QCast Tuner adds DivX support to PS2 - There is pretty interesting scan about it - check it out.
  • Turtle Beach To Show AudioTron Digital Music Player At CEDIA  - Turtle Beach has announced that it will showcase its AudioTron(tm) digital music player at the CEDIA Expo, held September 27 to 29, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Designed to organize and play up to 30,000 digital audio files stored on a networked personal computer -- as well as Internet audio streams through TurtleRadio(tm) - the AudioTron transmits and receives data through an Ethernet 10BaseT or 10/100BaseT network.
  • TFT-LCD Prices Down - The current trend is that TFT-LCD prices will continue to drop," said Jeff Hsu, a vice president at Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp., Tainan, Taiwan. "Nobody can say if the situation will improve in the December quarter. The visibility is really low."
  • GF4 4200 Roundup - All GeForce 4 Ti4200 cards produce a high quality image, but we nitpicked and made the table you see above. The judgments are harsher than they should have been, so we recommend that you don't take them for granted. If we would have to pick a card that has the best 2D image, it would be the Leadtek models, followed by Abit Siluro and Prolink. A bit less sharp, but still great were ASUS, Gainward and Microstar, who we would like to commend as they have been known earlier for series that produced a blurry image.
  • MX440 Shootout - OverclockersClubCanada has published a four way MX440 Shootout to help you choose a decent performance budget card.
  • Albatron's GeForce4 Ti4200P-Turbo 128MB - Leadtek has done well with its Ti4600 card; the cooling permits significant overclocking by sustaining low temperatures. You also get a decent package of software, including games and DVD software.
  • Leadtek GeForce4 Ti4600 - It seems that Albatron has taken a liking to the blue PCB's, and I for one say they look pretty awesome! The Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200P-Turbo is a tad pricer then the average Ti4200 at $270 CDN ($185 US) but that's to be expected. After all, the 8-layer PCB is more expensive to produce and it also uses higher quality 3.3ns BGA DDR RAM of which there is 128MB in this version. If looks could kill, the Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200 Turbo would be on FBI's 10 most wanted list!  - haha LOL.
  • Thermaltake VGA Highest Performance Coolers -  Would you like to replace you current  NVIDIA Geforce4 Ti Cooler?
  • TwinMOS 512mb PC3200 DDR400 - PC3200 modules have got to have a very good PCB in order to achieve such high speeds, 200MHz DDR, so the TwinMOS PC3200 RAM makes no exception.
  • EPoX 4G4A+ Review  - EPoX have been long time manufacturers of affordable solutions. They have a reputation for creating products that perform exceptionally at an incredibly reasonable price. Usually some extra features (like onboard LAN and Audio) are sacrificed. This however is definitely not the case with the 4G4A+, it is absolutely bursting with added extras..
  • Monitor Buying Guide - Your eyes are very important, and a small cheap 15 monitor will strain your eyes after a long stint in front of the screen. Good quality monitors are becoming easier to get hold of without spending large amounts of cash, TFT's are still too new and a little out of the general reach of Joe public...
