- Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo Leaked? - I found to the demo was
over here (thanks CtrlAltDel.com), it looks like the article was edited though, the
whole content pertaining to the demo is erased. Well, instead you can check two massive movies (mirror)
instead :P 1st video, 25 minutes, 202 megs: Offical presentation (with actors, laser- and
lightshow, pyrotechnics) and an interview with Jay Wilbur and players from german clans
(e.g. shuuk and Mortal Teamwork). He also introduces the UnrealEditor, weapons and maps.
2nd video, 35 minutes, 292 megs: Unreal Tournament 2003 game action with german top
players fighting each other in LAN-matches.
- Intel to announce new P4s and chipset - The company on
Monday plans to announce three new Pentium 4 chips for desktop PCs, along with a new version of
its 850 chipset, which could help it up the ante against rival AMD.
- Fire-extinguisher balls - One of the ball's advantages is that
it's fast-acting. It bursts into action within three seconds of exposure to heat from
flames. Fire-proof powder, monoammonium phosphate and non-chlorofluorocarbon foam spurt
out to dampen the flames and suck up the oxygen that keeps fires burning. At the same
time, the ball emits a high-pitched alarm, set at 101 decibels--loud enough to signal for
help and just tolerable to human ears.
- Sonicblue forced to spy on subscribers? - In response to a
lawsuit filed by a slew of heavyweight entertainment companies, a federal magistrate has ordered Sonicblue to
monitor customers' activities to find out what TV programming they record, duplicate
or send to others--a situation the company says is tantamount to forced spying.
- NV 18 Developed? - According to Darkcrow
NVIDIA has developed a new chipset based on the NV17 core. This should be released with

- Windows XP Setup Function Keys - During Windows XP Setup, you
can use various function keys to activate certain features and commands. The
following list details the current functions keys, what they do, and when you can use
them.
- Macromedia Flash ActiveX Buffer Overflow - All users of Internet
Explorer are potentially affected because this is a Macromedia signed ocx. Could lead to
the execution of attacker supplied code via email, web or any other avenue in which
Internet Explorer is used to display html that an attacker can supply. This includes
software which uses the web browser activex. We advise them to upgrade their flash version immediately to version 6, revision 29!
- Hot CPU Tester Lite 3.3 - Hot CPU Tester Lite is a
system health and stability tester. It tests CPU, and virtually all parts of motherboard
for errors/bugs and defective parts. It is a burn-in test with uniquely designed state of
the art DefectTech engine.
- Zoom Player 2.60 Beta 2.1 - It seems that the file navigator
simply doesn't work well under Win98 (probably 95/ME as well). The problem lies in the
fact that I was setting the root path as "C:" instead of "C:". Now
WinXP ignores the extra "", but Win98 is freaked out and returns an invalid dir,
which basically meant that users were not seeing any files, doh! Download a new beta
from here.
- Blindwrite Suite 4.0 - Blindwrite
Suite can create CD audio from MP3, and be use with an cd-rom emulator like Daemon
Tools.
- Nero Burning Rom 5.5.8.2 Officially - Ahead now officially have
released a new version of
Nero. This new version fixed bugs and added several new recorders, support for Video
DVD documents to the Nero Wizard , Turn on DAO and Fixation for Mixed-Mode and CD-Extra on
default, added support dynamic changing of document type (UDF, ISO, UDF/ISO) during
multisession, implemented DVD+R multisession support and many more.
- CloneCD 4.0.0.1 - Elby has now released CloneCD
4.0.0.1 which features Revamped Copy-Kernel: CloneCD 4 copies more, new User
Interface: Even easier to use, new technical features: i.e. Automatic Fast Error Skip.
- Logitech Mouse Drivers 9.60 - The new
version is 9.60 build 146 (5.9MB).
- Creative WinDVR & WDM Driver - This
patch updates the WinDVR application included in 3D Blaster Personal Cinema.
