- Max Payne patch v1.05 & Updated Demo - 3DRealms has released
a patch v1.05 (5MB)
& Updated
Demo (131MB) for Max Payne.
- Zax: The Alien Hunter Updated Demo - Reflexive Entertainment has released an updated demo
(50MB) for Zax: The Alien Hunter, a classic game in the style of Project Paradise, Chaos
engine or Alien Breed. While there isn't any word on what exactly has changed, the demo
has the double the size now.
- AxySnake Demo - AxySnake is a very addictive, colorful, realistic, and fun 3D action
game based on the famous Snake game (look at screenshot) with 3D
graphic effects specifically designed for modern video accelerators are strengthened by 3D
sound. You can try playable demo.
- Hypertron 2 Demo - Hypertron 2
(6.3MB) is the biggest gameshow to ever hit the airwaves. Millions of viewers from Titan
City 3 tune in nightly to catch the action live on Death TV. Destroy wave after wave of
deadly Hypertron droids in a bid to become one of the all time elite Hypertron heroes.
- Battlecruiser Millennium Patches - 3000AD has released new patches for
Battlecruiser Millennium, updating their space and planetary simulation to version 1.0.05.
- Global Operations Preview - GamesDomain have written a preview of Global
Operations, Barking Dog's upcoming tactical first-person shooter.
- Breed preview - Smart guys at Ferrago.co.uk has posted pretty long preview
(three pages!) of Breed, Brat Design's upcoming team-based shooter.
- Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project Interview - GameSpyDaily has
conducted an interview with Jim Perkins, CEO and President of ARUSH Entertainment! If you

- Chrome interview - Eurogamer has posted an interview with
Polish developer Techland about their forthcoming sci-fi tactical action game, Chrome.
- MoH Mod Interview - MoH Center has posted an interview with Medal of Honor mod creator Ceskins, this smart man
created the blood/guts mod and helped create the Omaha co-op mod.
- Echelon: Wind Warriors shots - DailyTelefrag has posted ten new exclusive shots snapped off the futuristic sim Echelon:
Wind Warriors, an ongoing project of Russia-based developer studio MADia.
- Red Faction 2 PS2 Only? - THQ Inc. today announced Red Faction 2' for the PlayStation 2.
Developed by THQ's studio, Volition, "Red Faction 2'' is the sequel to one of the
best-selling and most critically acclaimed original game franchises of 2001. Featuring an
enhanced Geo-Mod engine that allows players to strategically alter and destroy the game
environment in real-time, "Red Faction 2'' expands and builds upon the experience and
technology of the original game. Complete with blistering action, an engaging storyline,
highly detailed graphics and a number of multi-player options, "Red Faction 2'' is
scheduled for PlayStation 2 release in winter 2002.
- Hot Date Patch Removed - Due to the reports EA decided to remove the Hot Date Patch
and research the reported issues. You can expect an updated patch in the next couple of
days.
- BCT Commander Gone Gold - Shrapnel Games announced that the
latest game from ProSim, BCT
Commander, has Gone Gold. BCT Commander and its predecessor Brigade Combat Team are
the creation of Captain Patrick Proctor, Field Artillery, U. S. Army. Based on the
battalion/brigade level tactical simulator, JANUS, and
designed for and used by the army to train its senior commanders, this windows-based
simulation retains all of the realism of its mainframe-based predecessor, while improving
on the user interface by using windows-style point and click commands. Now, BCT Commander
gives the fans what they have been asking for - BCT, The Construction Set,
and both Expansion Packs all in one physical package with an awesome updated manual and
CD.
- Duke Nuke Forever Demo Soon? - According to the post from in the3DRealms forum this afternoon, the demo should be
150MB big and have approx 1 hour of gameplay.
- Euro GameCube details - CVG has posted some new
launch details for the Nintendo GameCube in Europe. "We can now reveal that on
Monday, January 28, Nintendo will announce the release date for Gamecube as May 3, 2002 at
249 Euros, which is a staggering £150 - £50 less than PS2 and half the price of
Microsoft's Xbox console."!? WOW :)
