Netamin have announced Ultimate Baseball Online,
the first 3D Massively Multi-player Online Sports Game. It's probably the first massively-multiplayer online sports title isn't it? :) They
also want you to join UBO’s beta test starting in the middle of 2002. They claims that UBO is more than a PC game, more than a TCP/IP game, UBO is a client server baseball game. However everything you will need is Internet access to play. Here are some of the game features:
· Create your own virtual baseball player
· Choose from multiple skins tones and body types, including female players
· Play online against other players, with each player taking a single position
· Earn Rank Points to advance from the Amateurs all the way to the Majors
· Create your own teams and logos
· Play any position: you will not be limited in any way.
· Simple interface makes it easy to control
· Detailed 3D stadiums
· Motion-captured animations taken from real baseball players
· Particle system for realistic environment effects
· Real-time Text Chat and Voice Chat with teammates
· Players will have their own DNA pattern to make them naturally better at certain aspects of the game than others.
