Viral Video Claims $25K Tesla Optimus Cleans House in 2 Hours - But It’s Still Not for Sale - tech|
| (hx) 06:35 PM CET - Nov,06 2026 | A viral X post claims a Tesla Optimus robot priced around $25,000 cleaned an entire house in two hours, arguing it would pay for itself faster than a human cleaner. The short video shows a humanoid robot vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, working in a shower, handling laundry, and ironing. The poster compares it to a $50-an-hour cleaner costing $30,000 a year and says the robot would work around the clock after purchase.
Elon Musk has repeatedly floated a long-term target of $20,000 to $30,000 for Optimus once production reaches massive scale. That remains an aspirational goal, not a confirmed retail price.
Optimus is not available for consumer purchase. Tesla is running pilot production for internal use, with outside deliveries not expected until around late 2027 or later. Earlier official demos have shown the robot performing individual household tasks, but no verified real-world full-house cleaning in two hours has been confirmed.
The claim is promotional speculation built around a short montage, not an official product announcement.
