PS5 Turns Into Steam Machine Via Linux Port - briefly|
| (hx) 04:28 PM CET - Nov,02 2026 | A community Linux project called PS5 Bazzite Deck boots a jailbroken PlayStation 5 straight into the Steam Deck interface. The system runs from a USB drive using an existing PS5 Linux loader and does not overwrite the console’s own software.
It supports 4K60 output, Wi-Fi, and the DualSense controller. The project can also unlock four GPU compute units that Sony ships disabled on base and Slim models, raising the active count from 36 to 40.
Early reports show some PC games running through Proton. The setup requires a compatible firmware and carries the usual risks of jailbreaking.
