AMD 26.10.2 Fixes Radeon Crashes but New Bugs Remain - tech|
| (hx) 10:00 AM CET - Oct,31 2026 | AMD released the optional Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2 driver on October 30, 2026. It fixes intermittent driver timeouts, system shutdowns, and application crashes that hit Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 series GPUs.
Key patches target Valor Mortis shutdowns and timeouts, overlay crashes when using the Performance Metrics Overlay with Xbox Game Bar, Death Stranding 2 hangs with FSR, and system crashes with FSR Frame Generation on RX 9000 cards. Some issues on Ryzen AI MAX PRO 400 processors and Steam launcher crashes are also resolved.
However, the release notes still list new known issues. These include intermittent crashes in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on RX 7000, War Thunder timeouts on RX 5000 (AMD recommends rolling back to 26.9.1), and Cyberpunk 2077 problems with FSR, Anti-Lag, and frame generation on a secondary display for some RX 9000 users.
The driver is optional and focuses only on stability fixes with no new features.
