NVIDIA Hotfix 621.12 Fixes RTX 50 Video Freezes - tech|
| (hx) 11:20 PM CET - Oct,27 2026 | | NVIDIA released GeForce/RTX Spark Hotfix Driver version 621.12 to address problems introduced by Game Ready Driver 621.01. The main fix stops video playback from freezing or causing black screens on some GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and RTX Spark systems. It also resolves an Unreal Engine 5.8 crash when Ray Lighting Mode is set to Hit Lighting. Additional fixes cover HDMI monitor corruption on RTX Spark when using a StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 2.0 adapter and intermittent flickering on the MSI N16 Flip laptop. The hotfix is based on the latest Game Ready drivers and is available as an optional download for Windows 10/11 x64 and Windows 11 ARM64. NVIDIA notes that hotfix drivers receive shorter validation than full WHQL releases, with fixes expected in a future official driver. Users affected by the 621.01 video issues can install it directly from NVIDIA’s support page.
