S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Update 2.1 'The Zone Lookout' Is Live - patch|
| (hx) 05:43 PM CET - Oct,26 2026 | GSC Game World has released the free version 2.1 update “The Zone Lookout” for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Microsoft Store.
Players can manually increase the A-Life NPC visualization distance using presets in Settings under Game and Visualization options. The default preset is recommended for stability, while a Dynamic option scales automatically to hardware. Higher ranges may affect performance and mainly apply to A-Life NPCs rather than quest or scripted ones.
The update also tweaks weapon ballistics and audio for long-distance gunfights. Squad leaders marked on the compass can guide players to nearby explored destinations for a cash fee, but only local routes and if the player is not overloaded. It includes a broad set of bug fixes based on community feedback.
