Night City Hits Your Browser - No Install, No Cloud - briefly|
| (hx) 12:55 AM CET - Oct,26 2026 | An independent developer called omonkeyzz has released an unofficial browser version of Cyberpunk 2077. Players can now open Night City in Chrome or Edge without downloading or installing the full game.
The project uses WebGPU so the game runs on your own GPU instead of cloud streaming. Models, textures, and other assets load progressively as you play. The first launch takes longer because it downloads a large batch of data and compiles shaders.
Performance depends heavily on your hardware. Stronger PCs run it better, while weaker machines may lag or show glitches. The demo is experimental and has no connection to CD Projekt Red. The same developer previously had a browser Fortnite map taken down after legal action.
