Dust entered the hinge through several openings even though the phone has an IP68 rating. The debris stopped the magnets from fully closing the device. A later bend test left a permanent green line across the inner display. The screen then stopped responding completely. Zack Nelson, who has tested foldables for seven years, said most of them survive his tests. The iPhone Duo did not.
