NVIDIA App Now Lets AI Agents Control It - Enabled by Default - tech|
| (hx) 10:03 PM CEST - Oct,16 2026 |
NVIDIA's latest NVIDIA App update added a local MCP server that lets compatible AI agents control parts of the app. The option "Allow Agents to control NVIDIA App" appears under Settings and is turned on by default.
Agents can view installed games, apply graphics settings, enable ShadowPlay, take screenshots, and adjust certain laptop power options. The server runs only on the local loopback address and does nothing unless a user connects an AI agent to it.
Many users are warning others to disable the feature if they do not want AI tools interacting with the NVIDIA App. The setting can be switched off in NVIDIA App -> Settings -> Features.
