This is because the Provider for Google Calendar add-on is not compatible with Thunderbird version 157.0.x.
However, the solution is simple: just edit the `manifest.json` file inside the
`{a62ef8ec-5fdc-40c2-873c-223b8a6925cc}.xpi` archive (which is actually a ZIP file), change the `strict_max_version` value to `157.*`, and then save the ZIP file!
Everything seems to be working without any noticeable errors!
