Mario Wonder Runs on a PC, and Nintendo Has Not Spoken - briefly|
| (hx) 11:04 PM CEST - Oct,06 2026 | Super Mario Bros. Wonder is running as a Windows program, with no emulator in the loop. YouTuber Belmante showed it on 1 October 2026 at about 60 frames per second on a laptop with an RTX 3050. The method is static recompilation: Switch code turned into native PC code ahead of time, plus a layer that sends Nintendo’s graphics calls to Vulkan.
It is a demo, not a download. There are still glitches and frame drops. The repo is private. Belmante says a Mac version came first and had bigger problems, and that an Intel integrated GPU test is next.
XDA’s line that Nintendo is not happy is a guess. No takedown and no Nintendo comment has turned up. A public release would still need the player’s own game files, and that legal fight has not started.
