Kingdom Come Boss Is Tired of Chosen-One RPGs - briefly
(hx) 09:15 AM CEST - Oct,05 2026
Warhorse co-founder Martin KlĂma says he is bored of role-playing games that make you the chosen one. In a PC Gamer interview published 4 October 2026, he called that plot a power fantasy: start as nobody, then save the universe. He said a good power fantasy is not wrong. He said it is just repeated too often.

He also said many of those games still feel made for teenagers, while the audience is older now. He added that he is not attacking Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. He blamed publishers for recycling what already sold, and named Ubisoft as the example.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance did the opposite. You play Henry, a normal man in a medieval war, with no special destiny. A line in a later post about games costing hundreds of millions is not in the interview.
