Win98 QuickInstall 1.1 Hits Modern PCs - tech

Community developer oerg866 shipped Windows 9x QuickInstall v1.1.0 on September 19, 2026.

The toolkit builds fast Windows 98 and ME install ISOs and USB images with a big driver library. This version adds a 64-bit EFI kernel so USB images boot on many UEFI-only machines, plus APIC/ACPI support and HIMEM/A20 fixes for newer PCs.

Integrated NTFS support and experimental HD Audio drivers are in the pack. Voodoo 1/2 patches target fast hardware, and device IDs now show in the hardware installers.
