Fans Fix FFXIII PC Ports After 12 Years - patch|
| (HX) 10:02 PM CEST - Sep,14 2026 | Square Enix never patched the Steam ports of Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns for modern high-FPS PCs. The first game hit Steam in October 2014, and players have relied on older community tools such as FF13Fix ever since.
On 13 September 2026, modder KartinX uploaded FF13NovaFix, a drop-in Direct3D 9 DLL that works across all three games. It corrects high-FPS facial animation, adds proper VSync, refresh-rate, and frame-limit options, fixes UI clipping above 720p, repairs XIII-2 timing bugs, and removes Lightning Returns’ forced VSync cap.
