Reforged Goes Always-Online. LAN Lives Only in Classic - briefly|
| (hx) 11:48 PM CEST - Sep,13 2026 | Blizzard’s Warcraft III: Reforged 3.0.0 patch (build 24268, 12 September 2026) now requires a live internet connection on the Reforged client and drops LAN from that client.
The official Forsaken Kingdom notes say LAN and offline play still work on the Classic client that ships with the game.
Blizzard gave no reason for the cut. The same patch also adds new servers, a 24-unit selection cap, and the paid Forsaken Kingdom campaign. Players who want a LAN party or a night without Battle.net have to launch Classic instead of Reforged.
