Fold 8 User Copies iPhone Duo Fold Animation - briefly|
| (hx) 01:51 PM CEST - Sep,10 2026 | A Reddit user has already recreated Apple’s iPhone Duo opening animation on a Galaxy Z Fold 8. The clip shows the wallpaper seeming to pass through the moving half of the screen as the phone folds and unfolds. The poster, moomanjohnny, said the Fold 8’s hinge sensor drives an AGSL shader that blends screenshots of the inner and outer displays. It is a proof of concept, not a real system launcher, because Samsung does not give third-party apps the access needed to hook System UI. Apple unveiled the Duo and that transition effect on September 9. Samsung has not announced an official version of the animation.
