A Bilibili repair video shows a Ryzen 7 7800X3D that swelled and burned on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero.

The chip’s underside is discolored and the socket pins in the middle are bent.

TechPowerUp says the board’s BIOS version was not confirmed, which matters because AMD’s 2023 fix was an AGESA cap on SoC voltage.

Similar X3D burns first piled up in April 2023.

This is one reported case, not proof that every 7800X3D is dying.
