Builder Uses Astra to Run Talking Unreal Agents - briefly|
| (hx) 09:53 AM CEST - Sep,04 2026 | Matt Shumer posted a September 3, 2026 clip of GPT-6 Astra building an Unreal Engine scene filled with Astra-powered agent characters.
He said he asked the new OpenAI model to create a world where those agents had to work together to survive, then later heard them talking in his living room.
OpenAI launched GPT-6 Astra the same day as a limited rollout for coding, computer use, and other agent work.
Shumer’s own write-up calls the Unreal build a custom setup, not a finished OpenAI product, and notes long-running autonomy is still unsolved.
The talking-NPC clip is his demo, not an official OpenAI benchmark.
