WARDOGS Beta Explodes with Nearly 500K Players - briefly|

Nearly 500,000 unique players joined the closed beta for WARDOGS, according to game director Howard Philpott, who described the reaction from the FPS community as "insane."
The tactical shooter peaked at over 105,000 concurrent players on Steam during the weekend test. The game had already surpassed one million Steam wishlists ahead of release.
WARDOGS features large-scale 100-player battles with vehicles, expansive maps, and squad-based combat across three teams.
The closed beta ran from August 21–24, 2026. Early Access launches on September 10, 2026.
