Microsoft Blames RGB Software for Windows 11 Game Crashes - tech|

Microsoft has identified the cause of recent Windows 11 gaming crashes after the KB5121003 update.
The company says the issue is linked to RGB lighting hardware and software that installs drivers such as inpoutx64.
Affected games include ARC Raiders, MARVEL T?kon: Fighting Souls, and THE FINALS.
Players may experience freezes, crashes, EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors, or even unexpected PC restarts.
Microsoft has published a temporary workaround that disables the inpoutx64 driver, though this can also turn off RGB functionality.
A permanent fix is still under investigation.
