GTA VI Leaker Demands $165k Just to Talk About Ads - briefly|
| (hx) 09:46 AM CEST - Aug,22 2026 |
The GTA VI leaker known as CYBERLEEK is now trying to monetize the stolen footage in a new way.
Instead of traditional ransoms, the group is offering to sell advertising space inside the watermarks of future leak videos.
They also offer custom-made gameplay clips tailored to brands, including adult content.
To even begin negotiations, interested parties must first pay 400 Monero (approximately $165,000).
This payment only guarantees that CYBERLEEK will reply and open a conversation on the Session messenger.
Actual advertising prices and terms are discussed privately after contact is established.
The leaker’s site explicitly states that the fee is not a ransom to stop the leaks.
CYBERLEEK previously released multiple apparent GTA VI gameplay clips starting around August 18.
Those leaks included everyday gameplay, map details, and other footage that Rockstar has been actively removing.
Alongside the leaks, the group promoted a Solana memecoin called $CYBERLEEK.
Take-Two Interactive has begun legal efforts, including DMCA subpoenas against Discord and Microsoft, to identify those behind the leaks.
The latest move shows the leaker is treating the stolen material as a commercial advertising platform.
Observers note the extremely high contact fee makes the offer more spectacle than practical business.
No major brands are known to have engaged with the offer so far.
The situation continues to evolve as more footage is expected and legal pressure increases.
