Microsoft has reportedly raised Windows 11 licensing fees for PC manufacturers by 7% to 10% starting in July 2026.

The increase is larger than the usual annual adjustments and applies only to OEMs that pre-install Windows on new computers.

Existing retail Windows 11 licenses for individual buyers remain unchanged at $99 for Home and $199 for Pro.

Industry sources say manufacturers may pass some of the extra cost on to customers, adding further pressure on already rising PC prices.
