uBlock Origin Quits Fighting Facebook Ads - briefly|

The small team behind uBlock Origin has stopped actively chasing Facebook’s constant changes that let ads slip past their filters.
Developers described Facebook as a “disgusting anti-user site” that monitors open-source projects and deliberately tweaks its code to defeat blockers.
After years of this cat-and-mouse game, the volunteer maintainers decided the effort is no longer worth it for one platform. Existing filters will stay in place for now, but new Facebook ad tricks will no longer be countered.
Users are already reporting more ads appearing in their feeds. The team suggested commercial filter lists such as AdGuard as a possible alternative.
