 Trezor User Loses Life Savings to Google Ad Phishing Scam - briefly

A Trezor user claims they lost their life savings after clicking a top sponsored Google search result for “Trezor wallet” that led to a phishing site.

The fake page, hosted on Google Sites at sites.google.com/view/start-trezor-suite, tricked victims into entering their wallet recovery seed phrase.

On-chain data shows the reported harvesting address received about 24 BTC (roughly $1.6 million).

Trezor confirmed it is escalating the report, working to remove the site, and reminded users never to enter a wallet backup or seed phrase into any website or form.

Google-sponsored phishing ads remain a common attack method targeting crypto users.
