Bautista in Talks to Play Kratos - briefly

Dave Bautista is in negotiations to take on the role of Kratos in Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television’s God of War series.

The former wrestler and Guardians of the Galaxy star would replace Ryan Hurst, who left the project after tearing a biceps during filming. Production had already started when the injury forced the recasting to avoid major delays.

The series adapts the story of Kratos and his son Atreus from the recent God of War games. Bautista’s physical presence and acting experience make him a strong fit for the character.

Talks are ongoing, with the goal of resuming production later this year.
