Universal Pictures is investigating a high-quality leak of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey that appeared on X this week.

The full film reached a reported 2.1 million views in just a few hours before the account was suspended.

Universal confirmed it launched takedown protocols and will pursue all available legal remedies.

Modern digital cinema projectors embed invisible forensic watermarks that record the projector serial number and exact showtime.

These marks can often identify the specific cinema and screening where a recording was made.

The studio is using this technology to trace the source of the leak.
