Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Still in Full Production - briefly

Remedy Entertainment is rebuilding Max Payne 1 and 2 as one complete remake.

The project is fully funded by Rockstar Games and runs on Remedy’s Northlight engine.

It is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Development has been in full production since 2024, with modern visuals while keeping the original noir style and bullet-time.

Rockstar controls all marketing, which is why public updates remain limited.

No official release date has been announced, but late 2026 or 2027 is currently expected.
