Microsoft Permanently Deletes User's Xbox Library and OneDrive After Hack - briefly|

A streamer named Joshua Khane lost access to thousands of dollars worth of Xbox games and years of personal OneDrive files, including his son's baby photos, after his Microsoft account was hacked.
Attackers changed the account's security information, and Microsoft support declared the account unrecoverable before permanently suspending it.
The company told Khane the suspension was irreversible "to prevent further misuse," offering no way to recover his purchased games or stored data.
This incident is part of a growing pattern where users who fall victim to account takeovers have almost no recourse to regain access to their digital libraries.
Jez Corden has been documenting these cases for over a year and warns that storing important data or purchases on Xbox, OneDrive, or other Microsoft services is not safe.
