Developers have brought a full Counter-Strike-style shooter to the original 2004 PlayStation Portable. The game, called OpenStrike, runs smoothly at 60 frames per second using only about 12 MB of RAM on the old handheld. It is built with PocketJS, which lets modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and even DevTools run directly on the device. The project uses a fast Rust engine for the core gameplay and open JavaScript mods for easy customization. You can download and play it right now from the official source.
