Samsung PM1763 SSD offers up to 28.4 GB/s reads and 21.9 GB/s writes - tech

Samsung has unveiled its new PM1763 PCIe 6.0 SSD that reaches incredible sequential read speeds of 28.4 GB/s. This means it can transfer a massive 100GB file in roughly 3.5 seconds. The enterprise drive is more than twice as fast as the previous generation and offers better power efficiency too. It uses advanced 9th-gen V-NAND flash and a 4nm controller, and comes in 4TB to 16TB sizes for AI servers with liquid cooling support.

The mass-production announcement confirms 4TB, 8TB and 16TB capacities. Samsung’s product page also mentions E1.S, E3.S and U.2 form factors with capacities from 4TB to 64TB, although U.2 is limited to PCIe Gen5.
