Sony Dangles 50% PS Plus Discounts as Gamers Cancel Over No-Disc Plans - console

Sony is offering big discounts on PlayStation Plus to some users who try to cancel their subscriptions.

The move comes after huge backlash over Sony's decision to stop physical game discs starting in 2028.

Many players started canceling in protest, leading to targeted retention offers of up to 50% off shorter plans.

The discounts appear on the cancel screen for some but not everyone, and Sony has stayed mostly silent on the disc issue.
