Former Bethesda developer and Skyrim lead designer Bruce Nesmith warned that rushing new Elder Scrolls and Fallout games could backfire and disappoint fans.

He referenced the classic software development triangle of resources, time, and quality, noting that when budget and release dates are fixed, quality often suffers.

Nesmith also cautioned that pushing games out too quickly risks “fan fatigue,” leaving players disappointed instead of excited for new entries in the beloved RPG series.

He emphasized that it’s better to take the necessary time to deliver high-quality games rather than release them prematurely.
