Elon Musk's 26-Year Comeback: X Money Launches with 6% APY & Crypto Plans - briefly

Elon Musk has launched X Money, fulfilling the original vision he had for X.com 26 years ago before being ousted as CEO in 2000.

The service is now rolling out to select U.S. users, offering a competitive 6% APY on deposits, a metal Visa debit card, and 3% cashback rewards.

This beats PayPal Savings’ current 3.30% APY and marks Musk’s return to consumer finance through the X platform.

Crypto integration is planned for later this year, potentially turning X into a full-featured super app for payments and digital assets.

The launch closes a long personal and business loop for Musk, who bought back the X.com domain in 2017 after rebranding Twitter.
